§ 1. General Provisions
- These Terms of Service govern the use of the educational platform available at investorcompass.ca, operated by Investor Compass Education Inc., located in Victoria, BC, Canada. The platform provides informational and educational content related to investing.
- By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Regulations. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, then you may not access the Platform or use any of its services.
- The content provided on this platform is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should consult with a qualified professional before making any financial decisions.
- We reserve the right to modify or replace these Regulations at any time. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of the platform following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
§ 2. Definitions
- Platform – The online educational service operated by Investor Compass Education Inc. at the internet domain investorcompass.ca.
- User – Any natural person with full legal capacity, or a legal person, who uses the Platform and its Services in accordance with these Regulations.
- Account – A personal, password-protected area of the Platform accessible to a User after registration, allowing them to use specific Services.
- Services – The provision of educational content, articles, guides, comparison tools, and newsletters related to investing, made available through the Platform.
- Regulations – This document, specifying the terms and conditions for using the Platform and its Services.
§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided
- The Platform provides Users with access to free and paid digital content, including articles, analyses, and educational materials. The scope of accessible content may depend on the User's subscription plan, as detailed on the Pricing page. All content is for informational purposes only.
- Users may register for an Account to access personalized features, such as saving articles and receiving a member-exclusive newsletter. Registration is voluntary and free of charge for the basic tier of service.
- The Platform does not facilitate any financial transactions, execute trades, or provide personalized investment advice. We are not a broker, dealer, or financial advisor. Our role is strictly educational.
- We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any of the Services at our sole discretion without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification or discontinuation of the Services.
§ 4. Technical Requirements
- To use the Platform, the User must have a device with internet access and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled. We are not responsible for any technical issues on the User's end.
- The User is responsible for ensuring their equipment and software meet the necessary technical specifications to enable access and use of the Platform.

§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User

- The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Account password and for all activities that occur under their Account. The User must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of their password or Account.
- The User is prohibited from distributing, copying, reproducing, or modifying any content from the Platform without our express written consent. All intellectual property rights for the content on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Investor Compass Education Inc.
- Violation of these Regulations may result in the temporary suspension or permanent termination of the User's Account without prior notice.
§ 6. Final Provisions
- These Regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Any disputes arising from these Regulations will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
- If any provision of these Regulations is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
